We are pleased to announce the 2016 Ciompi Quartet Presents, a summer chamber music series in Duke Gardens, celebrating its fifth season in the beautiful Duke Gardens Kirby Horton Hall. These concerts consistently sells -out and the audience continues to delight in the intimate and relaxed setting that has come to define this summer series. The opportunity to hear the Quartet members share their individual curatorial insights and programming inspirations add a joyful excitement to each concert evening. This summer the series begins with a program presented by Jonathan Bagg that builds on his study of light and shadows where he compares composers, styles and virtuosity. Eric Pritchard will again delve into the works of Bach, this time questioning the original intention for these works. Fred Raimi will end the summer’s series, this time adding voice and violin to his memorable piano and cello duo repertoire. We invite you to join us for the 2016 Ciompi Quartet Presents, which continues to be one of the must-see chamber music events of the summer.
