For the first time in seven years, Ciompi releases a new album. Marking Duke University’s Centennial Celebration, this release brings together works by three Duke composers who have been influential in the life of the Ciompi Quartet, and in the lives of the many young composers they have mentored. A Duke Moment celebrates the quartet’s strong relationship with Duke’s faculty in composition and highlights their ongoing commitment to the commissioning and performance of new chamber music works.
