The final concert in the summer series features Caroline Stinson performing with the Lydian String Quartet, Rachel Calin (bass) and Adriana Linares (viola).

The second concert features violinist Eric Pritchard with guest artists Anton Miller (violin), Heather Bentley (viola), Elizabeth Anderson (cello) and Brandt Fredriksen (piano). The program includes two premiere performances of recently composed piano quintets inspired by visionary creatives and finishes with Handel’s well-known Passacaglia and Pärt’s beloved Spiegel im Spiegel.

The first concert of the Ciompi Quartet Presents 2023 Summer Chamber Music Series features Jonathan Bagg with guest artists Benjamin Fingland (clarinet), Maiani da Silva (violin), Emely Phelps (piano) and Laura Gilbert (flute). The title for his presentation is drawn from a Bartók work that was written for Benny Goodman in 1938. The program features a unique musical combination with unusual instrumentation.

Program: Brahms' Piano Quartet Op. 60, a new flute quartet by Duke faculty composer Scott Lindroth, and works by David Kirkland Garner and Tatiana Nikolaeva.
